Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms of Use”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“user”, “you”, or “your”) and Life Education Private Limited (“Life Education”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of our website www.LifeEdu.LK (the “Site”), as well as any related mobile applications, platforms, or services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Site or Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

1. Use of the Site & Services

• Life Education provides an online platform for educational services, where teachers and students can connect for online classes (the “Marketplace Offerings”).

• Access to the Site may be restricted in jurisdictions where use would be unlawful. If you access the Site from such locations, you are solely responsible for compliance with local laws.

• Users under 18 years of age must obtain parental or guardian consent to use the Site.

2. Updates to Terms

• We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

• The updated Terms will be effective upon posting with a revised “Last Updated” date.

• Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.

3. User Responsibilities

By using the Site, you agree that:

1. All registration details you provide are true, accurate, and up to date.

2. You are legally capable of entering into these Terms.

3. You will not use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.

4. You will not attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse our systems.

5. If you are a teacher or student, you will use the Site only through approved Life Education channels (no direct arrangements outside the platform).

Failure to comply may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.

4. Intellectual Property

• All content, logos, trademarks, designs, software, and materials on the Site are the property of Life Education or licensed to us.

• You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the Site without prior written consent.

• You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access the Site for personal, non-commercial use only.

5. Payments & Refunds

• Payments for classes are processed securely through our third-party payment providers.

• Life Education does not store card or bank details.

• Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy, available on the website.

• Teachers are charged a service fee on every completed payment as per agreed terms.

6. Teacher Guidelines

All teachers on Life Education are expected to follow these rules:

1. Attend demo classes booked by students (or cancel/reschedule at least 2 hours in advance).

2. Inform students and reschedule promptly if unable to attend a class.

3. Do not share personal contact details with students or parents.

4. Do not accept payments directly from students/parents outside the platform.

5. Start classes on time and ensure each class lasts the agreed duration (usually 60 minutes).

6. Keep your camera on during the full duration of online classes.

7. Do not conduct Life Education classes on other platforms.

8. Share student progress reports and evaluation updates when required.

👉 Failure to comply may result in penalties, deduction of payments, or suspension of your account.

7. Student Responsibilities

• Students should book and renew classes only after completing the promised number of sessions with their teacher.

• Students must use only the official Life Education payment methods.

• Students should not pay teachers directly.

• Refunds for missed classes (due to teacher absence) will be credited to the student’s wallet for future use.

8. Service Limitations

• We provide the platform “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted service.

• Life Education is not liable for technical issues, inaccuracies, or third-party failures (e.g., payment gateways).

• If a class cannot take place due to technical problems, the teacher and student must reschedule.

9. Account Management

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details.

• We may remove or reclaim usernames if deemed inappropriate.

• Misuse of accounts may lead to suspension or termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
